Garlic Chive Pancake
Cook modeSavory pancake packed with garlic chives.

History & culture
Garlic-chive pancakes (buchu jeon) belong to Korea's broad jeon family, often made in spring when chives are tender and plentiful at home gardens and markets. Families may fry them for ancestral rites and holiday tables as well as everyday meals, pairing the mild onion scent with soy dipping sauce. The dish remains a simple, seasonal marker of home cooking rather than a single regional specialty.
